Whenever there is a crisis in the marketplace, often it begins with political meddling. If you want to understand the past mortgage crisis you need to look at it through the eyes of a politician.

If you want to get elected and stay elected what is a fast and easy way of buying votes?

  1. Give mortgages to as many people as possible who can’t afford down payments and who have already been turned down by banks.
  2. Vote for a federal agency to back up all of the shaky mortgages and to make sure they keep flowing to your voters.  Make sure to protect this agency from any regulatory oversight.
  3. Protect the careers and the free hand of the agency’s bureaucrats who make multimillion dollar salaries.  Accept their tokens of appreciation in the form of continuous and generous contributions to your election campaign.
  4. Also encourage large mortgage corporations who’s home loans are protected by the agency to be even more grateful, not only in the form of campaign funds, but also through personal gifts and perks.

Did you know there are three kinds of people in the world? The Strivers, who pay interest.  The Arrivers, who earn interest.  The Thrivers, those who pay some interest to earn more interest.  They learn how to become their own banker.

I’ve taught for 35 years how to pay off your home and become debt free the quickest and smartest way.
